Ruth Singer Studio

The studio is now open at Makers' Yard, 82=86 Rutland St, Leicester LE1 1SB. Workshop listings can be found on my blog here. As well as workshops, I also offer private tuition, hen parties, birthday parties (for children and adults), special events and more. I also run workshops for groups, schools, museums and galleries around the UK. Please contact me for a full list of possible workshops and information about bespoke projects.

Rent a sewing machine
Rent a sewing machine (& space to spread out) by the hour. Help is on hand if you need it, but this is not a taught session. This is available at various times and costs £5 per hour. Sessions are available in the daytime, evening and some weekends, in the studio from late January 2013 or in your own home.

One-to-one sewing classes
If you want to develop your skills or need help with getting started then why not try a one-to-one class with Ruth Singer. £30 per hour with a minimum initial booking of 2 hours. This can be beginner or more advanced techniques. I can also come to your home if travelling is a problem.

Private Hire for groups
If you are part of a group & would like to use the facilities & expert tuition available at Ruth Singer Studio, please contact us to discuss availability. Sessions are available daytime and early evening. I can also come to your venue to run workshops.

Parties
Ruth Singer Studio also runs children's parties, crafty hen parties, birthdays for any age and corporate creativity days. Please contact us for more information.

Workshop information

Most classes are suitable for all levels, do contact me to check if you are not sure. Sewing machines and all tools are provided. Materials are included in the costs for some workshops but others require you to bring your own or purchase from us on the day, please check the workshop information. You are welcome to bring along your own sewing kit and any fabrics you want to use to any workshop.
